Maxi Jazz was a compelling frontman. God Is A DJ, We Come 1, and Insomnia. All variations on a musical theme that banged hard.
Alive and non-album track Rotting were my highlights of Poliça’s Madness release in 2022. Sending love to bassist Chris Bierden who is undergoing treatment for a brain tumour. A wonderful man in a wonderful band.
I don’t think enough people have heard this.
One of my top 5 songs of 2022 as I voted for in the Twitter Festive 50. It didn’t make the 50.

I’ve enjoyed the ‘24 Songs’ project of 12 singles this year, 30 years after ‘The Hit Parade.’ And this, another Wedding Present Christmas song for the collection, is a highlight. Love when the guitars kick in.
I’ll be posting my fave albums of the year today and I nearly sneaked in Too-Rye-Ay (As It Should Have Sounded). It doesn’t really qualify though so it gets a post of its own. I love the ‘new’ feel to what was already a classic.
