This is for everyone who dislikes a programme on the BBC and then decides it should be closed down.

Also, for anyone who moaned about sending a couple of dozen staff to cover the Chile miners rescue story.  Over 24 hours of continuous coverage needs more than one bloke and a webcam.  The coverage of that story led by Tim Willcox and Matt Frei with their impromptu bilingual skills was the envy of the world.  I listened to a show yesterday where Americans were gushing with praise having watched it on BBC World.  

Yes, at times the BBC is bad and in the case of BBC3 it's awful, but as those of us who campaigned against the closure of 6 music will feel, it's something to be bloody proud of.  "Did I mention Doctor Who?"
